Self-Priming High Flow Rate Insensitive To Solids Mobile Sewage

A sewage treatment plant had major problems with flooding from an
overflowing sewage collection tank. The sewage treatment plant
operators decided to purchase a mobile Accuvon Rotary Lobe Pump in
order to prevent future overflow of the basin. The pump had to be
self-priming and dry running and provide a high flow rate. In
addition, the pump had to be insensitive to any solids in the
wastewater. The customer is very satisfied with the Accuvon pump.
The rotary pistonpump is mounted on a two-axle trailer and is
driven by a 60 hp (45 kW) electric motor.
The unit is equipped with an inverter that controls the speed of
the pump, and vary the pumped flow rate. The inverter is controlled
via a potentiometer mounted on the control cabinet.
